Assistant Professor in Architectural History – UNCC

The School of Architecture (SoA) at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte invites applications for a tenure-track appointment in Architectural History at the rank of Assistant Professor. The position involves participating in teaching the school’s required three semester sequence in the history and theory of architecture, as well as advanced seminars to graduate and upper level undergraduate students.

This position is intended to extend the depth and breadth of our curriculum in architectural history, theory and criticism. The faculty are particularly interested in candidates capable of offering seminars in modern, contemporary, and/or Non-Western architecture.

The successful candidate must demonstrate the ability to effectively conduct research and scholarship in the discipline of architectural history and teach professional design students. A PhD in Architectural History or a related discipline is required.
