Prof. Youngjib Ham of Texas A&M Awarded $300k NSF Grant

Professor Youngjib Ham, Texas A&M

Construction Science Assistant Professor Youngjib Ham of the College of Architecture at Texas A&M is helping to develop next-generation building and civil engineering educational tools.  With a $300K National Science Foundation-funded research project, Ham is creating digital, interactive civil/building engineering systems for students to explore and control real-world problems in classrooms using smartphones and ‘smart’ sensors.

Ham will learn how these ‘cyber-physical’ systems and simulations affect students’ interest, engagement, and perceptions of the field.
