Position Description

The Department of Architecture at Kennesaw State University is seeking applications for two full-time, nine-month, non-tenure track Lecturers of Architecture. The department offers a 5-year, NAAB-accredited, STEM-designated Bachelor of Architecture program centered on studio sequences and comprehensive design.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality instruction in undergraduate architecture courses, including Architecture Studio.
  • Teach in at least one of the following areas of specialization:
    • Architecture Structures
    • Environmental Systems & Building Performance
    • History, Theory and Cultures
    • Digital Architecture, Computational Design, Fabrication
  • Participate in department, college, and/or university service activities.
  • Collaborate with students and colleagues to contribute to a positive and productive academic environment.

Qualifications

  • Required Qualifications:
    • A Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch) degree AND Professional Architectural Registration; OR
    • A Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Architecture or a closely related discipline.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
    • An earned Ph.D. (or foreign equivalent) in Architecture or a closely related discipline.
    • Architecture licensure/registration.
    • A record of successful teaching in Architecture Studio.
    • A record of professional architecture practice.
